Hi and welcome to The Antipodean Wine List. You may be wondering what we are all about and why we are here.
Well it all started when I travelled to Chattanooga and found it difficult to find wines that I could enjoy. Eventually after hunting throughout Tennessee and Georgia I happened upon a source for Australian wines.
Whilst the wines were not exactly what I was looking for, it did give us hope. Since that first trip I have usually travelled with some of my favourite wines to share with friends. One trip over a glass (or five) of wine the idea was hatched.
Research and market analysis lead us to believe that America needed a new way to experience Australian wines. And who better to deliver the "word" on Australian wines than a "wine resourcing" team including an Australian.
It is now our mission at The Antipodean Wine List to provide education and information regarding wines from all regions of Australia, and of varying styles. Whether it be Shiraz from the Barossa Valley, or Reisling from the Clare Valley, we have experience in it. The same with the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula of Victoria. Bad years and exceptional years. The winemakers and staff of the wine companies. We have access to them.
