Hi and welcome to The Antipodean Wine List. You may be wondering what we are all about and why we are here.

Well it all started when I travelled to Chattanooga and found it difficult to find wines that I could enjoy. Eventually after hunting throughout Tennessee and Georgia I happened upon a source for Australian wines.

Whilst the wines were not exactly what I was looking for, it did give us hope. Since that first trip I have usually travelled with some of my favourite wines to share with friends. One trip over a glass (or five) of wine the idea was hatched.

Research and market analysis lead us to believe that America needed a new way to experience Australian wines. And who better to deliver the "word" on Australian wines than an Australian.

It is now our mission at The Antipodean Wine List to provide education and information regarding wines from all regions of Australia, and of varying styles. Whether it be Shiraz from the Barossa Valley, or Reisling from the Clare Valley, we have experience in it. The same with the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula of Victoria. Bad years and exceptional years. The winemakers and staff of the wine companies. We have access to them.

What do we have planned? We have lots planned to bring more Australian wines to the people of South Eastern U.S.A. Our plans include:

Consultancy

With over thirty (30) years experience with Australian wine, wine tourism and Australian wine regions, we bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to helping you develop your "Australian wine experience". Our relationship with wine companies, wine makers and wine tourism operators means that if we don't have the answer we probably know someone who does.

Tastings

As new wines become accessible we will bring them together to provide tastings of each new release (and maybe even some museum wines as well)

Education

As party of our committment to developing an understanding of Australian wine, we will look to increase consumer knowledge through forums, specialist "master classes" and trips to wineries to learn more about wines in their "natural environment".

Parties

Our team will be only too happy to come to your venue and provide a tasting and educational on Australian wines and where they come from. You may even have a chance of catching up with our wine resourcing team on the ground in Australia. We will also help you dedicate your party or . dinner party to Australian wines so your guests can enjoy the wines from Australia.

Wine brokerage

Part of our "Grand Plan" of making Australian wine more accessible to everyone is to be able to source and possibly even sell directly to the public Australian Wines that you will have a hard time trying to find in your local liquor store of market.

Wine Bar

We are currently working toward opening a wine bar that will make Australian wines from various regions and different variatels available for purchase "by the glass".

Specialty wine functions

During the year we plan to have events to showcase wine variatels, wine regions and wine companies. We also plan to have a stand at Wine over Water in an attempt to increase our "friend base".
